The end of the lump saga...

The lump was biopsied on Wednesday. It's been determined to be a lactating adenoma - completely benign. Hopefully it won't grow anymore so that I don't have to get it removed... just because I'm not a fan of surgeons and such. Just doing the biopsy hurt. I swear he didn't leave enough time between numbing the area and when he started. But maybe the novacaine or whatever, was more for after. The area is a nice greenish-bluish-blackish color, but healing. I keep a bandaid on the incision and try not to lean on that side of my body.

I also learned that Stephen really doesn't like needles. Or maybe it was the combination of me wincing, the doctor pushing REALLY hard, and seeing the needle going through with the utlrasound machine... Anyway, he blacked out. He didn't actually pass out... but I'm sure he was close ^^;; Hopefully he'll be better for the birth.

As far as the pregnancy goes... I can't say I have more energy, but I can go for longer in the day without crashing (that's not to say I don't want to crash). I also bought my first pair of maternity pants! It's not really that I can't fit into my pants... there are still some that i can wear (maybe not my 2's... but my 6's usually fit). It's just that the material is a lot more rigid. Maternity jeans (at least the Gap ones I got) feel like sweat pants... but then look like normal pants! I feel like I'm showing a ton, because in my mind I am, but noone notices. When I told the surgeons office that I was 16 weeks along the nurse said "man you're tiny".

My next OB appointment is on Thursday. I'm sure we'll talk about when my ultrasound will be. They usually do it around 20 weeks, so in the next few weeks to month I'll find out my baby's gender! What I see as happening is that they'll do it in 4 weeks from this appointment (corresponding with the next OB appointment), which lands on the day of graduation. So mom and dad, potentially you could come to the ultrasound!

Exciting things are abrewing. Cheers!
