Easter was a busy day for the Smith family.

My parents and little brother were here for Easter so they could be here for Clara’s blessing.  It was also my brother’s spring break so they stayed the entire week.

Because of General Conference, we had a private blessing rather than the usual in Sacrament Meeting.  Rather than trying to cram everyone in our little house, we had it at church before the first session of Conference.  It was very sweet and intimate.  We had an opening song and prayer, the bishop said a few words, then the blessing, followed by a few comments by the grandpas and parents and then we had a closing song and prayer.  The blessing focused on being an example and peacemaker.Easter 304 copy

After the blessing we headed back home to watch Conference in the comfort of a couch (home is around the corner from the church).

I also made a delicious Easter dinner of Cranberry-glazed Pork, twice baked potatoes, asparagus and home made rolls.  yummy.
