The weather here has been really up and down. We've had a couple of really nice days interlaced with some really nasty thunderstorms (see Iowa... we're just not as close to a river). Trying to take advantage of this water, we put down some seed in hopes that maybe we'll get some front yard grass this summer. We're a little late in the season... but the season came a little late as well.
Our house right now...
Samantha had her 9 month check-up on Wednesday. She was 20 lbs (75%) and 30 in (97%). So she remains very large. I got her a couple new things and I bought 18 month size... which is just amazing to me.
This week I'm going to help Colleen plan the Smith Family Reunion that's happening July 16-19th at Glendalaugh State Park. It should be fun. I've never been to one before, but I'm excited to see all the Utahns. I don't know what activities will happen. I assume a talent show one night, it seems to be a family tradition and it seems all Smiths like the perform and be the star. So to any Smiths out there reading this...Any requests for things? Food? Games? General orderliness?
Caitlyn is officially engaged! And they've set the date for August 22nd (Maraina's birthday!). My mom is going to have a very busy summer getting this together. I hope I can help some... but I don't know even know how much help I'll be since I'm here, Caitlyn's in Idaho, and mom's in Delaware (and Maraina will be in Utah, so she'll be no help either). Caitlyn's chosen purple and mint green as her colors, and asked me to be a bridesmaid(en). (What are you if you're married?) I've never been one so it's a little exciting for me. It's probably not very exciting but it's different! and new! Anyway, plans for that are underway and will be moving more once my mom gets through with Girls Camp which is next week.
And I'm still trying to figure out what to paint my living room. I really want the walls painted in both the living room and kitchen before the Smiths come out in July... but I'm running out of time and I have no inspiration... I'm going to have to get some design books and look at pictures.
