Notice the nice new roof, as well as the replaced fascia board (we did it last summer) with no squirrel holes.
The original (sinking) concrete front path
you can also see the ragamuffin shingles on the garage roof
We ripped out the path last summer when we regraded the front yard since the yard was sloping towards the house and we were getting water in the basement when it rained. The bricks are actually from Stephen's dad's backyard... they've been hanging out there for years. We had a nice assembly line of grandkids to put them in the truck to haul them to our house. Then we had another (shorter) assembly line to get them off. Thanks to Thomas, Andrew, and Preston (he worked so hard he put holes in his gloves!) for helping most of the day, and Sariah, Hannah, Rachel, Willard and the twins for helping at grandma and grandpa's house! You moved 1 ton of bricks! Also thank you Mark and Grandpa Smith for helping laying the bricks; and Tamara, Grandma Smith and Shaleen for watching Samantha. We couldn't have done it in 2 days without your help!
Now we just need our grass to actually grow and look healthy and some flowers when I have the energy to think about that, and I'll have half way decent curb appeal.

Congrats on the completed projects. It's always fun and satisfying to see the completed project.
Love the new path. I'll have to come see it.
It looks great! I love the curve of the path.
