Stephen and I are quite excited to have new phones on a new provider. I’ve been battling dropped calls for the past year at my house with my Tmobile phone. For whatever reason my street is a complete dead zone. But not with AT&T!
Stephen is now back from LDS Encampment (Scout camp). He managed to survive, and the boys too despite the extreme heat and having a 1000+ people at a camp made for 200.
Our ward got a new bishop since ours is moving this week. I should have guessed it would be someone close to me when Shauna called and said she was coming to our ward, but I really didn’t delve into “who could it be”s. So finally when the Smith family took up 4 long pews and 2 short ones (and they were packed, Sammi was crawling all over me) I figured “Oh, it must be Mark”. So good luck to Mark, I’d say “congratulations” but is that really appropriate for a bishop?
In other church news, I did my first Sharing Time as a member of the primary presidency yesterday. It went well I think. I even laminated what I did so I can store it away in a “Family Home Evening” lesson box that I’m going to start making. It’s silly to do all the work for a lesson and use it once and toss it. My other responsibilities at the moment are preparing the July primary activity (a mini-trek around the church) and writing the Sacrament program. I think it should be fun.
One last thing. The main purpose of making this post was to test writing in “Windows Live Writer” instead of opening blogspot. So far, I really like it.
