On Tuesday we decided to carve our pumpkins. Last year we never got around to it, and since Samantha’s older now we figured we’d introduce her to the tradition. Stephen carved the little one (for Samantha) it was a moon and a star because Samantha is obsessed with the moon right now and has been very upset with so many cloudy nights.
The big pumpkin ended up being a silly face. We seemed to not have gotten a picture of it after carving.
Our ward had a fun time figuring out when to have the Ward Halloween Party as many evenings were taken up by “Time Out For Women”, Auxiliary Training, and sharing the building with 2 other wards. So we settled for having it at 12:30 on Halloween.
For costumes, Stephen introduced the ward to his super hero costume (he was just “Super” this year), Samantha was a cute lady bug and I found my green poncho that I’ve had for years and decided that Samantha would be a ladybug on a leaf.
Last year Samantha understood putting stuff in her bag, but didn’t know it was candy (nor did she know what candy was). This year she knew exactly what candy was and knew to not let her bucket out of her sight.
