Delaware – Part 2 Children’s Museum

We wanted to do at least one special activity with the girls, so we thought the Delaware Children’s Museum would be a neat thing.  We also found out that the library gives out a pass for 4 people to get in for free.  They only give out one a day, you have to call and reserve it, and you can only do it once every 6 months.  So we did that, so we all got in for free.  It’s a nice thing when you don’t know how enjoyable it will actually be.  The first thing you see is this climbing/maze structure.  Samantha went straight in figuring out how to climb all around.  There are about 3 depths that just keep winding up and intertwining.  But Samantha found her way to the top (She’s the one in the black in the top center).  She needed some help getting down though.

Samantha’s always loved the art room at the Minnesota Children’s Museum so we took her in there next (plus there was a school group going around and the Studio was empty).  Samantha went straight for the easel.  They also had a little craft to make “Valentine’s Day hugs”.  You stamped your hands and connected them with another piece of paper.  Samantha liked giving herself a hug.  She made hers for daddy, then she had me make one for her.  Unfortunately we forgot them when we left.

Clara spent a good part of the time pushing the stroller around.

Samantha loved the train, we attempted to get a picture of me with the girls, but that didn’t happen.  We did manage to get a picture of my new hair style though.  It’s a bit of a change…
