A Family Saturday

It’s been a bit of time since last updating.  Of course, I will probably fill in with some backdating at some point in time.  But today we had some fun as a family and I thought I’d update those first.

Fall here in Minnesota has been gorgeous.  Just a few weeks ago it was in the 80s, and right now it’s settling in the high 50s, which, with the sun, is still a completely adequate temperature to enjoy the outdoors.  We decided to take the girls to the park and since every event is an impromptu photo session, I took the camera along and managed to get some cute shots.  Samantha had gotten herself dressed in the morning (all they way to tying her own shoes!) The girls did lots of climbing and sliding, and a little swinging.  They were quite upset when it was time to leave, but I had a birthday lunch to attend and Clara was in need of a nap.

And since I am never in any pictures, I handed the camera off to Stephen and got these ones with the girls.

(And to spill the secret… the black & white ones actually didn’t turn out.  They were overexposed and the coloring was off.  But I recently learned a trick about switching that kind of photo into B&W.  Gorgeous, aren’t they?  I love Samantha’s sparkly eyes.)
