I’m playing major catch-up now.
Clara made it to 3 months. And at this point had rolled over and giggled. She also holds her head up well enough that I started putting her in the doorway jumper we have. She’s starting to figure it out and loves to be able to watch everything going on. Her hair seems to be here to stay and is staying dark. It has a bit of a red tint to it now, but the hair coming in isn’t blonde so I think I’ve got a dark haired child with dark blue eyes. Samantha is still in love with her and is always giving her hugs. Sometimes in the car I hear Samantha say “It’s okay Clara, it’s okay” and always tells me if Clara is hungry, needs her pacifier, or wants her bottle (usually this one happens when Samantha happens to find a bottle somewhere and wants to give it to Clara).
On June 4th I turned 25. Stephen’s sisters (and mom and other surrogate family girls) took me out for a girl’s night at Macaroni Grill where I got my typical Chicken Scampi, yummy! The only bad thing about going to a restaurant and specifically an ITAILIAN restaurant is the singer…
Ew. Do I look embarrassed? Because I was… and annoyed… and going on mad but shell-shocked at the same time. I’m sure it was worse since it was a table of 9 women. Of course, I also don’t like Opera… and he was singing right next to my ear and I already had a headache. OTHER than that though, it was a lot of fun and Heidi made a yummy delicious cake for me. We’ve gotten in the habit of making each other’s birthday cakes, since you can’t make your own but both of us like really good chocolate cake (and frosting).
