Traditionally, we get our Christmas Tree on Black Friday, this year it got pushed back a day because of some family traveling. So Saturday morning we got all dolled up in our snowsuits: Clara in Samantha’s from when Sammi was around 14 months old, and Sammi in hers from last year that is a tad small… (Although I just found that the inside actually extends and so it fits much better). But they were warm and dry and that’s what matters. This year was the first for me to get a tree when they were covered in snow! (especially the bottom branches). The Smith grandkids actually got to have a snowball fight (more like a snow ice chunk fight) like Stephen remembered with Uncle Stephen being the primary target.
Clara didn’t make a peep the entire morning. It was the first time using the backpack with her in it, and she seemed to have liked it a lot.
And here’s a bit of a throwback to when Sammi went to get a Christmas Tree for the first time.
I spent Sunday putting the lights on the Tree and Monday night for Family Home Evening we put up the ornaments. And I must say: Thank goodness for shatterproof ornaments!
Sammi loved putting the ornaments on and Clara loved taking them off. And we even had a little Glacier Bug hiding out in the tree.
