The Smiths in the year 2010

3-2-1-0-Clara!  Clara Michelle started showing how different she is from her big sister by joining our family right on time (Due date: March 2, 2010).  Clara’s been an easy going baby with lots of smiles, giggles and cuddles to share.  At 9 months she is now crawling and pulling herself up to her feet and getting into everything. She’s also already a proven actress as she was in her first feature length film at 6 months old!  Everyone on set loved her, and she fulfilled her roll as “baby” wonderfully.  She is adorable and we love her tons.

Sammi Sam (3 years) has loved being a big sister, offering comfort (“I know, Clara, I know”), singing her songs and giving lots of hugs (or tackles).  Samantha loves to learn and constantly sings “ABCs”, “Twinkle Twinkle”, “I Am a Child of God” and random other songs called “[insert random noise] song”.  She is incredibly literal, ex: In the car if you respond to “what are you doing?” with “I’m driving” while you happen to be at a stop light she will correct you and say “No, you’re stopped!” Or if you tell her to put on her “shirt” or “pants” at bedtime she’ll tell you “no, these are my jammas!”  She also took her first dance class and no longer requires diapers - yay! (which are unrelated)

Stephen and Charisse are becoming busy parents of two active girls.  Stephen has embarked on earning his MBA from The University of St. Thomas while continuing to work full-time.  He loves putting the girls to bed when they are dead tired (that’s when they cuddle best) and seeing them smile when he comes home from work.  Charisse continues to work over 60 hours a week as a stay at home mom (not including nights and weekends).  In her spare time she enjoys going to yoga (or any class at the gym), sewing cute things, taking on new crochet projects, becoming a photographer and experimenting with other new crafts.

We enjoy this season for the opportunity it allows us to remember the birth of our Savior and the loved ones who surround us.  May it bring you as much Joy and Peace as it brings to us.

-Stephen, Charisse, Samantha, and Clara Smith
