Sandbox

We've been meaning to get Samantha something to play with in the backyard, whether it be a slide or something to climb or a sandbox. Well, we had a wheelbarrow+ of left over sand from building our front walk so in order to get the wheelbarrow out of the garage Stephen decided to build Sammi a sandbox! It's 4 ft x 4ft made out of some 2x10's of treated lumber and some leftover plywood. So the plywood wouldn't be sitting on the ground after a rainstorm it has some 2x2's on the bottom to raise it slightly off the ground. Oh and Stephen also decided that regular nails wouldn't cut it... so he put this together with lag bolts. I think my dad would be proud.

All done!

Stephen also used all three of his drills to make this. His cordless drill (to drill), his cordless impact driver (to make the countersink) and his pneumatic impact driver (to drive the bolts in)... I guess he didn't want to switch bits, or was showing me that yes he needs all three.

Watch out for cats--they love sandboxes.

I think its the latter, to show you that he indeed need all of his toys, i mean tools :) looks great!

I knew there was a reason you married that man! You can NEVER have too many tools and I can honestly say I represent that remark.

The sandbox looks great and I'm sure Sammi will track lots of sand into the house to show you how much she loves it.

Just don't show her what a hose in the sand can do. I love the sandbox.
