Music in Plymouth

Apparently, I never wrote about Music in Plymouth this year.  It was June 30th this year (always the Wednesday before the 4th).  And as can be seen in the next picture… it’s sort of a big deal. (thousands of people!)DSC_0194

It’s an entire evening affair.  We got there around 6pm (We brought our tarp to get our spot more like at 5am) bringing our dinner and dessert (for Heidi’s birthday).  The kids have a blast.  Before the Minnesota Orchestra performs (around 9pm) there are a bunch of other gigs and the kids love to dance in an open area they have set up.  As we are always near the front (hence the 5am wake up call) they are usually the first kids jumping around.

Here we are as it’s starting to get dark.  Me and Sammi are looking a bit tired…

Our nephew, Hyrum, was chosen to conduct the Orchestra for a song.  He was very enthusiastic about it.  We snapped a picture off the screen.  The family also brought a ton of glow sticks that the kids loved

The evening culminated in a magnificent fireworks display.
