Spring Project continued… and baby scriptures

Remember the project we started back in April?  At the end of it we had dirt (which quickly would become mud) between the house and the garage.  Fast forward a few months, all the concrete is off my driveway and we now have 4 tons of gravel between the house and garage.  Apparently 4 tons of gravel really isn’t that much.  It’s not even quite 200 sq ft at 4 inches deep.  But it’s a lot of loads in a 3/4 ton pickup.

Samantha of course loved helping daddy.  She went with him in the truck for each load of gravel and would throw handfuls of rocks out of the truck with her tiny shovel.  (She now even refers to all trucks she sees as "Uncle Mark's truck" and corrected me when I said "Mark's truck".  "No mommy UNCLE Mark's truck")  She got her rake out when Stephen got out the landscaping rakes.  She got a bit tired of raking though and decided that she needed to have a tea party on the back porch.

If you’ve ever known a toddler, you’re probably aware that everything small is called “baby” and for some reason makes it so much more appealing.  Well, my mom when she was here had a red pocket sized Book of Mormon and Samantha took to calling it “Grandma’s baby scriptures”.  A couple weeks ago I was ordering stuff from the distribution center and decided to get Sammi her very own “baby scriptures”.  She was very excited and reads from them every night during family scriptures.
