The rest of Wednesday pretty much consisted of taking it easy. We picked up my sister, Caitlyn, on the way out of the canyon and hung out with my other sister, Maraina, at her place in Provo until we could check-in at the condo. Wednesday evening and Thursday morning were very much… Coxish. And by that I mean….
Yep. The joys of a television. Even Clara was enjoying Psych. We did finally manage to get out of the house. We took a stroll through downtown Park City to see what was up. Caitlyn decided that she’d carry Clara around and practice being a mom. A teenage girl on a tour bus leaned out the window at one point and said “I like your baby!”
Everywhere we went Samantha asked to have her picture taken, by a tree, a horse, a bear.
Thursday evening we went to Destin’s lacrosse game. He plays in an adult league and it was their championship. A lot of his team members played for the University of Utah and a lot of the opposing team played for BYU. They’re a mixture of alumni and currently attending. So it was a bit of a rivalry game. It was a good game, but Destin’s team came out on top. They had to push real hard to get the entire game in as it was really cloudy and getting dark fast (and no lights on the field). Clara had started sitting up while we were at the Smith Reunion and actually sat up pretty much the entire game. Of course, once she was sitting fairly well my sister thought she needed to now work on her next skill: standing.
Maraina and her boyfriend, Danny, met us at the game. And then everyone came back to Park City to hang out, play Nerts, and have dinner. (yeah we totally had dinner at 10pm). Don’t worry we got a bit more exciting the next day.
