Samantha, the mother hen

Last night we were watching a friends' daughter who is actually just a week younger than Sammi. However, Samantha is bigger and thinks she is in charge whenever they get together. The entire evening Samantha would make sure Jade had her teether, or her cup (or take it away if she deemed she'd had it too long). She tried to get her to dance with her as well. The cutest part of the evening was when it was time to go to bed. I got them in their jammies and read them some books and put them down: Samantha in her crib and Jade in the pack-n-play. Samantha kept calling out while Jade kind of wimpered to herself. I think she was a little confused. Anyway, I noticed Jade wasn't using her pillow so I took it out and put it on the floor so she'd have more room. Samantha was sitting on the rocking chair and decided she wanted the pillow and so she curled up on it right on the floor. I figured I'd just leave her there and if she started coming out or playing with toys I'd put her in her crib. But, I noticed each time Jade wimpered that Sammi jabber a bit. She was trying to calm her down! and the crib was too far away from the Pack-n-play to do so. It was quite cute. In no time they were both asleep, Sammi still on the floor.

That is really cute. I love it when kids fall asleep on the floor.
