Last Tuesday I needed to get out of the house, and since we have a membership to the Children’s Museum we invited some friends and went downtown (squeezing all 5 of in my CR-V. 3 car seats CAN fit in the back. Good to know if/when we have a 3rd kid…. way down the road). The MN Children’s Museum is quite cool and is constantly changing.
One of the staples is the small town (grocery store, restaurant, doctor office, city bus, and a music store). Around the town there are different costumes set up. We first put on the mailman costume (or is mail carrier the P.C. term?)
Samantha then became a doctor at the doctors office.
Here she is listening to baby Clara’s heart (just like she used to at the midwife’s before Clara was born).
Listening to her friend, Jade’s, heart.
Jade dressed up in hospital gown.
Another favorite standard is the water room.
Samantha loves this boat racer thing. Just lift up the gate and watch your boat zoom down.
Next to the Water area there is a warehouse, school room and theatre. Mixed in there is this double steering wheel truck. Now both kids can drive!
When we were there is it was the last week of the Dinosaur exhibit. It was a bit scary for the girls but I think they got used to it after a bit.
