Daddy-Daughter yard work

For some reason, our backyard is very lumpy.  When Samantha first started walking she couldn’t walk at all in the backyard without falling over because of the unevenness.  Well, this spring after some heavy rainfall the ground was pretty soft so Stephen rented a heavy roller and borrowed our neighbors riding lawn mower to smash down the ground.

Of course Samantha wanted a ride, and also tried to help steer

She definitely enjoyed herself. (She even wore ear plugs)

As a side note, Stephen is wearing one of my long-sleeve t-shirts from swim team in high school.  Fortunately, I have a plethora of long sleeve shirts from both Cross Country and Swim Team so that we never run out of long sleeve work/painting shirts. (I happened to design the sleeve of this one.  The seniors’ names are in the fish)
