Samantha had her 3 year, and Clara her 6 month appointments. I thought I’d share their stats.
Clara (Samantha @ 6 month)
Height: 27 inches 75 % (28.25 in)
Weight: 16 lbs 7.5 oz 50% (17 lbs 15 oz)
She feels so much bigger, but I guess it’s just the two pounds. Some other news about Clara is that she’s eating baby food! Hooray! It’s been one of those “offer a bunch of times and eventually they’ll start to eat it” type of deal. She still doesn’t really like Oatmeal (Samantha downed it), but likes rice cereal especially mixed with other things. Her favorites have been squash and sweet potatoes.
Samantha:
Height: 38 inches (75 %)
Weight: 34 lbs (50-75%)
So she’s actually gone down and is fully in the charts now for her height. I can’t say I mind. She’s still a tall little string bean. This time they also checked her blood pressure (84/46) which was fine and her eyes. The eye chart was quite creative. They played a matching game with her. She had 4 letters on a chart in front of her and then they stood the 20 ft or something away and would ask her to point to the letter on her chart. She did well, and loved the game. They said she was 20/25. Hopefully she doesn’t get my eyes.
The doctors office also got a treat, as they all got to meet a princess. I finished her Halloween costume earlier that day and let her wear it there. I figured that I could relent on that since she was going to be getting a few shots (3). She didn’t make a peep, and even got to keep the pirate patch they used for her eye test so she became a “pirate princess”.

Samantha thought she was so funny sticking her finger in her nose (even farther) when I told her to take her hands away from her face. At least her eyes are smiling. And I finally got a picture of Clara and her dimples!
And below, Samantha really wanted me to take a picture of her boot… no idea why, but the picture turned out interesting.
