As hard as the decision was. I decided to chop my baby’s locks off. She’s pretty much had a mullet since birth, and maybe it’ll be like trimming a tree. If you cut some off the bottom, it puts energy towards growing other places. But man, Samantha didn’t have this much hair at 18 months! and it was hard to cut her hair then. I had support from my mother-in-law (and step by step instructions).
Before
So this is a fake picture. We ended up having to put Clara in a bumbo and constantly giving her toys to keep her still.
All total, I cut off 1 1/2 – 2 inches off the back, and trimmed the rest to get rid of wispies.
After: so darling with a bob.
This actually made me want to chop my hair (the back), and give Samantha a hair cut as well, since I never get around to doing it. I don’t know how her curl would do with an a-line bob though. It has so much volume.
Cheese! I’m back here mommy! I want to see! Take my picture again!
And one more picture, because I’m amazed it came out like this. What a little cheeser.
