Halloween

We didn’t actually do  much for Halloween this year.  I never got around to getting pumpkins and I have yet to decorate my house with ghoulish and spooky things (I don’t see doing so in the near future either).  When Sammi gets a bit more into it and looking forward to the holiday I’ll add in some decorations, but it just didn’t happen this year.  I did make both the girls’ costumes.  Ever since Clara was born with dark hair I thought it’d be cute to have a Sleeping Beauty and a Belle.  I made Samantha’s dress a little while ago, but I made Clara’s on Friday and Saturday.  I didn’t have a pattern for either, just a few tutorials online that got me started and then a bunch of making stuff up.  Clara’s was absolutely free since it was left over fabric from my dress and random scraps from other things.

Clara-Belle!

We found out our friends were dressing their little boy up as a lion, when we saw him though I had to get a picture of them together because it was too cute not to say “Beauty and the Beast!”

After going over about a dozen and a half different costume ideas, Stephen and I decided on the cheapest (free).  We were Will Schuester (Mr. Schu) and Sue Sylvester from the show GLEE.  Putting on a track suit and calling it a costume was the BEST idea ever. At our Ward Trunk or Treat Stephen got up on some hale bales to perform.
