We signed Samantha up for some gymnastics on Saturday morning to see if she’d like it and give her some exposure. It’s held in the Middle School just a few houses down the street (very nice since it’s at 8:50 in the morning and we’re slow movers in the morning). The class is called “Tumbling Tykes” so I thought they’d just be doing somersaults and such. But they actually do go on all the equipment. This last week Samantha’s group did the beam and the floor. Last time we were on the beam she wouldn’t go on the high beam, but last week she did it like a champ.
Here’s daddy helping her walk across the beam.
Cheese!
She looks so grown up with her hair back like that.
On the floor they did all sorts of “walk like this and that”. She loved skipping and hopping. Her “frog hop” was more of a “bunny” hop (on her knees rather than her feet). She did a great bear crawl, but wouldn’t try the crab walk. Instead she climbed up on me when I was showing her and just leaned back against the baby bump, it was a regular recliner!
