We spent all day Friday doing the last minute decorations for the reception. My mom rented a tent and it got put up on Thursday. Then we filled it full of these giant pom-pom poofs. Cute concept, looked great, but took a LONG time to make. I also didn’t realize that the inside of the tent would consist of 3 poles… and that’s all. So we figured out how to run rope from the poles to the sides so that the pom poms could hang down creating a colorful ceiling (it consisted of having an 8 ft ladder on top of a table…) My aunts wrapped twinkle lights with tulle around the edge, and we staked in an outside carpet runner up to the tent (you had to go up a hill). The entire thing was gorgeous and done just in time.
During the reception I mostly just hung out and caught up with people from home. I think Stephen realized that I was a bit burnt out from being a single mom of the girls for the past week and a half and so he took charge of them. I also didn’t pick up the camera at all that evening. I got these from my aunt who was snapping along with the pro.
